Can this notebook handle gaming?
I'm looking at the HP TouchSmart tm2t series for personal use, but I want to know if it can handle games like world of warcraft, or intense computer gaming.
The options for the GHz are:
Intel(R) Pentium(R) Processor SU4100 (1.3GHz,2M Cache) w/Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
Intel(R)Core(TM)2 Duo SU7300 (1.30GHz, 800MHz FSB) w/Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD
Intel(R)Core(TM)2 Duo SU7300 (1.30GHz, 800MHz FSB) w/512MB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 4550 Graphics
Intel(R)Core(TM)2 Duo SU9600 (1.60GHz, 800MHz FSB) w/512MB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 4550 Graphics
also it can have up to 8GB system memory.
Laptops are not meant to be gaming computers (However, Alienware and a few others do specialize in gaming laptops). Their size which accounts for the lack of adequate cooling is a serious issue. The Core 2 Duo 1.60ghz is the best option, but it certainly will not be snappy and responsive. It will run the games but not very good, in other words.
