Connecting my notebook to projector..?
Hi,
I have Dell Inspiron E1505 with vista on it. When in a presentation. I find that other notebooks when plugged in with a VGA cable and pressed Alt(?)+F5 are ready to go for presentation, mine doesn't work.
I get confused and nervous and in general I don't feel quite comfortable with hardware.
Would sbdy plz tell me, is the process somewhat different for vista and how can I test the process in my room with peace, without the VGA cable and the projector and know that it will work when connected to a projector during presentation..
I may have the VGA cable and monitor at my disposal though..
Thanks a lot!!!
you dont use the Alt key. i made that mistake to at first, and ended up with a broken laptop when it didnt work. you use the key that is next to it, the Function key. its normally got blue/grey text on it, and it will say Fn on it. Hold down that and press F5. that should do the trick.
Happy Presenting,
Icarus
