notebook pata
LAPTOP adapter to PATA or SATA HDD.?

is there an adapter that I can put in place where my laptop HDD no is and attack a PATA or SATA cable and also a PATA or SATA
non-notebook HDD?

If your laptop drive is 2.5" PATA, you can get a simple 2.5 to 3.5 adapter, and then would have to provide drive power externally (laptop doesn't supply the right power to a 3.5" non laptop drive)

If it is a SATA laptop drive, you can just get a sata cable to wire in the 3.5" drive. and again an external power for the 3.5" drive.
2.5" drives use 5V only while 3.5" drives use 5V and 12V.
