Targus power adapter for notebooks? Charger?
I own a Dell Latitude D620 (for terms that i myself understand, a laptop)...
My kitty chewed on the charger and broke it! I got my laptop last xmas (2006), and about 4 months ago the charger broke.
My boyfriend picked up a Targus Power adapter for notebooks at Best Buy. Is this the same as a charger? When I plug it in, the "charging" light on my laptop does not light up.
I'm assuming i purchased the wrong thing.
In the event that I did - I can not return this to the store. it cost me 110 dollars. Do you think that it would be worth my time to call the Targus company and see if I can send it back to them for a refund??

The posted price is $70 -- not too bad....
Second:
Yes, I would certainly recommend trying to contact Targus directly, either via the web or phone (I'd try the web first) and plead your case. I suggest you be nice (pathetic helps!) and explain that the store where you purchased it won't accept returns and that you really can't get it to work with your computer.
