Questions about the movie 'Proof'?
I was a bit confused by the movie.
The notebook with the proofs really belonged to Catherine right?
Did she pass it as her father's work because she wanted him to be thought of as a genius and not someone who would be remembered as a mentally disturbed man?
Did she believe it enough to change the truth?
Why would she take back it back and say it was her notebook if she wanted to protect her dad?
Or am I mixed up?
At any rate, could someone please explain this to me?
yes the book belonged to cat.
she passed it off as her father's work to redeem him. since everyone thought he was some crazy old man, if they found out he figured out this amazing formula, they would see him as brilliant.
she took it back though because she realized it was kind of a slap in the face to her. it meant that she was not smart enough to figure it out on her own and did not give her credit of what she was capable of doing.
