How to link a notebook via USB cable to DESKTOP DVD-WRITER?
In this case, the desktop has no hard drive. I can take the desktop's dvd-writer out.
Is there a cable that can be directly linked between notebook and this "external desktop" dvd-writer?
If the desktops burner is already external then you should be able to just unplug it from the PC and plug it into the laptops USB port and into power supply. If it is an internal one that you want to use as an external for your laptop you will need to get a 5.25" Drive enclosure with cables and power supply something similar to this: http://www.onsale.com/shop/detail.aspx?dpno=524962&store=onsale&source=bwbfroogle
