How to fix usb mouse?
Hi, i got a acer 5738zg notebook and a logitech usb mouse , i was playing a game when my mouse stop working and my pc told me usb device not recognized ,tryed evrything i found on the internet but didnt help ( restart , connect to other usb port, unplug the pc,,, instal driver, use other mouse , uninstal all usb hub).
You say you used another mouse but didn't mention whether that mouse worked or not.
You'll need to narrow down whether the mouse is the problem or the computer is. Try the mouse on another PC to see if it works there.
My problems with USB mouses have all resulted from the tiny wires inside the USB cord breaking. This happened years ago with my Intellimouse Explorer, and more recently with my Razer Copperhead.
One solution is to contact the manufacturer and ask to send it in for a replacement. They often do it without charging; Microsoft did.
The final solution is to disassemble the mouse and unplug the internal connector. Then cut out the portion of the cord where you think the broken wiring exists, then solder the wires back together, sealing them with electrical tape and putting everything back together.
