help, Acer Aspire 1300 Notebook freeze when i use any USB ports?
Acer Aspire 1300 Notebook freeze on (xp, dos even Ubuntu) whenever i connect USB device to any USB port
i tried many USB devices which works perfectly on my friends Notebook.
but once i plug it to my notebook the mouse stop and no keyboard response too nothing, freezing
i restored the system to the factory defaults using the emergency recovery application...
i checked the bios boot menu for any USB options but i don't find any it's just simple bios boot menu
anyone can come up with idea?
also i upgraded my bios version to latest!
but same error
the fact that it freezes on three different operating systems suggest that is a hardware issue. reinstalling anything wouldnt do good. since you already checked the BIOS settings for any info regarding USB, the only option I could see at this point is to call for manufacturer support or check the manufacturer's website for any BIOS update. you may need to update your BIOS. If after the BIOS update, it still does not work, you may have a defective USB controller. Either return the laptop for repair or buy a USB PCMCIA card for your laptop.
Be extra careful with reflashing BIOS, if you make a mistake and the flashing is unsuccessful, it might render the computer unusable. Do it at your own risk.
