where can I download a Pentium D about 2.8 GHZ?
after advice from another question I was told to upgrade my CPU to Pentium D from Pentium III
where can I download this? I have tried torrentspy.com and intel.com

Don't listen to these people. Of course you can! Just download the Pentium D off your friend's PC and burn it onto a CD. When you put the CD in your PC, boot it up, and it will automatically burn the new CPU into your old motherboard. Just make sure it's not an AMD and you should be fine.
