Piii Celeron
so i want to upgrade my processor from a socket 370 pIII to a socket 370 celeron?

i know that i need some sort of adapter to do this but i dont know what. the are both socket 370 processors but mine is older and is apparently a coppermine, whatever that means. i've been trying to read about it but the info comes in pieces. Also from what i understood i might need to change my bios. i have a dell dimension 4100 and i'm not sure of the model of the mobo. i hope i have provided the releveant info here any help is appreciated
no the celeron is a 1200mhz and mine is only 933, plus the celeron has a built in catch that runs at the same 1200 and mine only runs half speed so roughly 466mhz, and no they r not 100% compatible

Not compatible. Need new MB. And RAM. And......Might as well build a new pc.
