I have a dell e1707 vista home premium laptop, it says it needs a new battery what do i do?
it has been about 5 months scince i have bought this laptop, i use it atleast 2 hours a day while charging, it is already asking for a new batter, i have vista home premium and a 6 cell battery help!
Battery life varies greatly from one to the next. I have seen some go three or four years before needing replaced and others after only a few months. In my experience, I would say something on the order of a year to a year and a half is average. 5 months is uncommon, but not unheard of, so you may, indeed, need to get a new battery.
