Macbook Pro gaming question / Sims 3 for Mac?
I will be purchasing a Macbook Pro in the next few months and was wondering when the Sims 3 will be available for Macs?
Also, are the Macbook Pro's generally a good laptop for gaming? I planned on buying the Sims 3, and possibly installing WoW if I have the time to play. Just curious what the speed and graphics are like.

Chris - That's ok, I have an older PC that I can use for other games. It just isn't good enough to run Sims 3 unfortunately.

The MacBook Pro is around $1,100 for students (wow, thanks Apple!), plus you get a free Second Generation iPod Touch. I'd call it a deal! That's the package I received as an investment for going into high school next year. Yes, being a MacBook Pro user myself, they are quite good for gaming as they have an advanced LCD Screen which gives extra lighting and special backlit bulbs with impressive definition of 1280x800 [pixels] and "millions" (according to System Prefs) of colors.
The speed is revolutionary. I was very impressed when I first got mine (being a bit of a computer geek myself, I'm not that easy to impress with computers) at the slick, smooth, efficiency of which it operated. It also doesn't do that really loud humming noise some PCs or MacBooks do when they get "overwhelmed". It can get a little hot, but nothing dangerous. It's an amazing, cutting edge-machine.
Also, the MacBook Pro's battery power is way better than the regular MacBook because there's energy saving software built in to them and it has around 130-140% of the MacBook's energy, so if you're on a trip it will let you play The Sims 3 for longer
