what supplies will I need for 9th grade?
There is no supply list or anything for my high school and there is no orientation.
I was going to get, the stuff listed below but I wasn't sure:
1 compostion notebook
7 regular notebooks (I have 7 classes)
7 folders with the brads
mechanical pencils (and regular ones for tests)
Highlighters
Book covers
Stapler (for reports)
Glue/Markers/colored pencils (for projects)
Graphing calculator (I didn't buy it, it is my cousin's old one)
Multi-colored pens
Loose Leaf Paper
sharpie markers
dry erase markers
2 binders
dividers

Also I was going organize my classes by color like:
Pre-Algebra--Red/pink
English 1-- Blue/light blue
Army JROTC-- Green
French--Orange
Physical Science--Purple
Art--(no books or notes needed)
American History--Yellow

Any tips on organizing? Also any on the supplies did I miss something?
Get two large binders, and a few smaller binders.
You will want a few classes (namely math) to have their own smaller binder, that way you can organize bookwork from notes, and notes from homework. It works easier that way.
Kudos for the calculator. You'll need it! Also, get lead for your pencils. There is nothing more annoying than having to ask a neighbor for lead.
Get a three hole puncher too. I paid 3 dollars for mine, and it is my hero when it comes to organizing school papers.
Another invaluable item for school is a planner. Even if you think the school will give you one, you should still have your own. It's a key item for organization.
Also, you haven't listed a pencil pouch or a school supply box for keeping your items together in. If you plan on using a backpack or large tote bag for carrying your school stuff, get a small school supply box. If you're going to carry around your binders and leave your bag in your locker, get a pencil pouch you can stick in your binder.
