Laptop screen having wierd problem?
My laptop screen works fine, but only when an external monitor is connected. The external monitor doesn't need to show anything, it just needs to be connected. When I disconnect the external monitor, the laptop screen stays on and works for a few seconds, until it registers that it is disconnected, and turns of my laptop display. I have tried re-installing my drivers, and even updated them, but nothing changed. My card is a NVidia Quadro NVS 135M.
My laptop had similar problems.
A computer technician told me it was the video card or graphics card (which ever) that was damaged. Some video/graphics cards only lasts about 2 years, he said. And they're very expensive to replace.
And for that, I don't use laptops anymore. Desktops last longer.
