Should I even bother buying this laptop?

I need a laptop to do my college asignments on, burn music, play dvds movies, go online at wifi hotspots for free, and I'm on a budget but I don't want a computer that's too slow that I wont be able to do my work on it.

Just going by what you listed you plan to do, that's perfectly fine for $75. The only thing might be the battery may not hold a charge if it's the original one. I remember years ago, doing all of those things on a slower computer than that. I don't see why things would be any different now. Heck, if you decide not to buy it, let me know, I'll buy it in a heartbeat.
