when i install windows 98 on my lap top it only recognizes a floppy drive how do i make it recognize my cd rom
please help im trying to dual boot xp pro and windows 98 when i get 98 installed it only recognizes a floppy drive and my lap top doesnt have one it just has a cd rom drive how do i get it to use my cd rom drive and not a floppy drive... im trying this for school so please help
i would think that it would have a driver for the cd rom included.... you can try going out to the manufacturers web site to try to get a driver... ie: try a google search for lite-on windows 98 driver?
idk what else to tell you, i'm a little curious though what class you're doing. I know when i did my pc hardware and pc software class i did do a little windows 98 but not much... you mostly need to know about 2000 and up although where i work there is a single windows 98 workstation that they use for this novell system they have setup.
