Help my pc dont work?
I turned on my pc one day & it started fairly normal then whilst still on the dos part it brought up a message saying " windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: windowssystem32configsystem
you can attempt to repair this file bystarting windows setup using the original setup cd-rom
select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.
now i have tried all this but nothing happens,iv tried pressing r to no avail,plz,plz help.
your System's Registry has been corrupted.to correct this follow these steps:
1)insert Windows XP CD.
restart and boot from CD.
when setup screen comes up select Recovery Console option.
select windows partition in which you wanna boot.
enter your Administrator Password to login.
2)now type the following commands at command prompt
i)Ren C:windowssystem32configsystem system.old
ii)Copy C:WINDOWSRepairsystem C:WINDOWSsystem32configsystem
reboot and Enjoy.......
