How can i install winXP on my notebook with SATA HDD without FDD to load the SATA HDD drivers?
My notebook works the win Vista home Premium but i want to install the Win XP Pro
When i try to install winXP my SATA Hard drive is not recognized. I have the SATA HDD drivers but there is no flopy on my notebook and i cant find a way to install the drivers. I press F6 when installation begins but setup sekks for flopy disk to read the sata drivers.
In the bios you may be able to set the SATA hard drive to IDE mode. Otherwise you need to create a boot disk or CD that will install the SATA drivers for XP. Go to the hard drive manufacturers web site. You will probably need CD burning software to burn the ISO file that you will download, or get a friend to do it for you.
