How hot is too hot for my p4 laptop? Is over 85f room temp ok?
I have a sharp actius pc-rd10 (pentium 4; several years old).
It runs pretty hot... Im concerned now that summer heat is here...and my a/c can only keep it to 85 inside on a hot day. Should I just shut off my p4 laptop until the temp gets down to say 75f?
I live in south Texas and daytime summer temps are generally around 100 or so. I deliberately keep my thermostat at 85 so my electric bill won't go over $200 a month. My laptop has been on 24/7 for about a year now. I use a laptop cooling fan by Antec and I haven't had any problems.
