Case or sleeve protection for laptop?
I'm looking to protect my new laptop. I'm going to be using it mostly around the house, but may take it out.
Is it more worth while to use a hard cover case or a soft neoprene sleeve?
I'm really looking for something to leave my laptop in while not in use.
I know about the pros and cons of each. What do you think is more worthwhile for what I'll be doing?
If you never take it out, you don't need anything, although a sleeve might be good for dust (never run the laptop while it's sitting on the sleeve, though - it'll overheat and destroy the disk and maybe start a fire).
If you take it out, it's definitely worth getting a proper laptop bag. I've used backpacks the past few years since they're much easier to carry around.
