how do you connect a subwoofer and speakers with a/v cables into a desktop computer or laptop?
You just need a component to stereo-miniplug adapter. I have one I picked up at radio shack.

Something like that. Attach your red and white RCA cables to that, and then plug the minijack into your computer's speaker port.
