I have a Thinkpad T60 and i remove the battery and a password come up on the start up, how to remove it?
I have all the papers but nothing talk about any password, i got the laptop from a friend that move to cali and don't have any contact with him and the only solution that i see is removing the MB, it should be another one i think if it is let me know.
AFAIK with IBM / Lenovo laptops the only way to remove a BIOS password if you don't know the password is to send it to IBM or one of their agents to remove the password. It costs lots of money as you can imagine and you have to prove ownership.
That's how they were designed as they are corporate-market aimed PCs. Stops theft being a sensible thing with a Thinkpad!
