How do I turn off the function key on by IBM ThinkPad laptop?
My function key is stuck in the on position. What I mean is that when I click on "U" it types "4" - "I" types "5" - O types "6" - "J" types "1" etc. I don't know how I got it this way. I restarted the computer and the same thing continues.
your numlock key is stuck? There is some oil you can spray in there to lossen and clean the parts, but it will be stinky. I use wd-40 for cleaning electrical stuff all the time. Alternatively, you can VERY carefully pry the key off and put it back together again with a little clip you will see once you get it off.
