my laptop charger doesn't work.?
i have a Toshiba satellite a135 S4417. My charger as finally quit working, I use to wiggle it around and it would work but now it just finally broke. well i i got the idea of using my modems adapter. It seems to be working but it pushes about 45w charge and i think my laptop takes about 65w. is there any risk to charging my notebook like this, i am not running the computer while charging if it make it any better. Also what kind of charger do you recommend.
I strongly do not recommend you to use a different voltage charger than the original designed for your laptop. It is just not well worth it should it caught fire or short circuit your laptop or some other form of damages.
A 3rd party charger does not much at all. You can bring in your old adapter to the nearest hardware store, show it to them and they can show you the exact same one.
