What is normal idle temp of an AMD Turion II P520 2.3ghz Dual Core Processor?
I just bought this laptop yesterday and I installed a program to monitor temps on my laptop. It says my processor is running at about 158 degrees farenheit. Is this normal? My last laptop never went over 95 degrees. The ambient temp of the room is about 80 degrees. Fan seems to be working fine.
If temperature is 158 degrees Fahrenheit in idle it is not normal.
What is your laptop model?
Try latest Everest to see temperatures. Some programs (especially older version) doesn't monitor well temps of the new CPUs.
