Can i use high amp charger on low amp device ?
I have a universal car charger for notebook,with output: 19V, 6A
Can i use it to charge my netbook ? its ac adapter output: 19V, 1.2A
Will it work fine ? i dont want to fry it, i hear as long as voltage is same it doesn't matter, is that true ?
Should work. The current flow will be determined by the notebook, not the charger. The amp rating on the charger is just a maximum current spec; it means that it can supply up to 6 amps. You might have a problem using it with a device that requires more than 6 amps, but if the notebook uses 1.2 amps with the original 19v charger, it won't use more current from the universal charger.
