How does the composite video signal converted to pictures we seen on the screen of LCD TV?

I don't mean interlace or progressive scanning. I want to know how each line is scanned to produce the image. I understand how CRT works in normal TV for it has deflection coils to bring the electrons horizontally and vertically

It does it digitally. It basically draws the picture into memory chips, the same as if the memory were a CRT screen, but instead of deflection foils it uses digital counters to scan the memory.
In a similar sequential manner, the memory is read and written to the LCD panel.
