difference in macbook & a windows notebook?
What is the biggest difference in a macbook as opposed to a notebook that runs on windows xp? I have been using windows xp since I picked up a computer, so would it be hard to learn how to use a macbook? I heard they have a completely different operating system and other things that make it a bit confusing for a person who is used to using a windows xp notebook. I mainly use my computer for music, photoshop, internet, and writing papers for school....
Also, I heard downloading stuff on a macbook is different, I was wondering in what sense? For example downloading a video or mp3 from a site such as megauploads or mediafire?
AND LAST~~ I'm not sure and I havent had time to look, but do most white macbooks come only in 13"? or Is there bigger ones?
Macbooks top out at 13.3" or whatever it is exactly. MBPs are 15" and up to 17" I believe.
Only difference is OSX vs. Vista/XP. Hardware is the same, except for the design/aesthetics of the case. Both downloads the same, runs Photoshop/Word/etc the same (with comparable hardware). Ease of use depends on the person. You'll get accustomed to either one when you use it for awhile.
A significant factor is price. Windows laptops run about half of what Apple laptops cost. That's your personal issue to sort out.
