im looking to buy a laptop?
im looking to buy a laptop and wondered if anyone would like to suggest some models?...
Features I want:
Price range: £800 - £1,000
RAM: Minimum 2GB, preferred 4GB
Hard Drive: Got to be fairly large - probably a minimum of 320GB
Screen: More or less want wide screen (with a nice resolution), but wide is not a must
Interfaces: Minimum 2 USB ports, preferred 3
Connectivity: Compatible with standard wifi - and Bluetooth is a cool possibility
Camera: No real need for a built in camera; not bothered about it.
Battery life: Bigger the better, but not hugely worried about it as power cord will always be around
Disk: No need for anything blue ray – just standard disk speed & DVD/CD compatibility (read & write)
It needs to be suitable for music production, mainly midi things – i.e. dance tracks 
- but the software doesn’t need to be included with it.

i went to newegg and put in the specifications you were looking for:
wide screen, 4GB ram, hdd > 250GB, AND (you must have) dedicated video card (not integrated). I got 53 results. Most any laptop with dedicated graphics will have the features you want. all have 12" to 17" widescreens.
