Pictures distorted on my widescreen laptop. Can you help?
I have a widescreen laptop with a ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 graphics card, and I'm running Windows XP Home. Annoyingly, some of the images and even windows on the computer are stretched out of proportion. For example, in Firefox everything looks perfect, but in IE (6 & 7) the images look stretched and distorted. Even the small icons on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen are distorted, but the text looks fine. In a small number of programs, the dialog boxes will have text, buttons, and/or graphics that won't fit the window. It's really annoying. Is there someway to fix it?
for the internet, go to advanced options and look for "resize images to fit screen" or something like that and disable it.
Or, right click on desktop and goto display, then change your screen resolution to the monitors native resolution.
