Wifi Antenna Connection to Laptop Question?
I have a antenna that i used to connect to a card in my pc, i have now got a laptop/notebook but does not have a connection point for the antenna. My question is will the wifi builtin to the laptop increase its range even if the antenna is not connected and is positioned right next to the laptop?
You can go to Best Buy and try buying a more powerful antenna. There are also directional antennas that increase the range in one direction. If your router is on the east side of your house in the basement and your laptop is on the west side 2 floors up from it, a directional antenna is probably better.
