Will the mouse pointer motion speed be the same as long as I choose a mouse with the same DPI?
I have a Logitech BT58 wired mouse that has 400dpi right now. I'm looking into getting a wireless mouse for my laptop, but the previous wireless mouses(especially notebook sized mouses) I've used have a sensitivity that is really high. I know I can manually change the sensitivity in the Control Panel, but I want to find a mouse that matches the current one I have right now so I can be comfortable switching between using the mouse and the touchpad.
With most new mouses for computer out there come with their own software now adays. When you install the new hardware/software it should bring up a window to let you comfigure it.That would be the best way and less stressful way of doing it.Once you configure it to your needs you should be able to switch between the laptops touchpad and the mouse with no problem at all.Computers OP systems are pretty smart now and will remember the settings of the devices you have set.
