How do I share my laptop wireless internet with my desktop through Ethernet cable.?
I have a Laptop with window vista 32bit (hp) and hp desktop with window 7(64bit) is there anyway to share the internet from my laptop to my desktop with a ethernet cable
I cannot connect my desktop to my modem/router or buy a wireless card.
Yes you can. First you need what is called a CROSSOVER cable or you can use a network hub or router. The cable is cheaper and can be found at any Radioshack or similar electronics store. Plug the cable into your laptop networks card and then connect to pc. Then go to Control Panel and choose the network icon. Right click on the network icon that is your wireless...choose Properties. Go to the sharing tab and shre the connection...it will then change your networks cards IP address to one in the 192.168.x.x. and the desktop will get one in sequence.
