How do I set up wireless internet in my apartment?
I'm buying a sony vaio laptop for the first time ever and I have NO idea what I need to get in order to set up wireless internet in my apartment, I already have internet but not wireless. If anyone can please help. Thanks.
You have to have a wireless router. You can buy one at any electronics store these days. They are pretty easy to setup and have instructions and a CD-ROM that walks you through everything
Or... you can contact your internet provider and tell them you want wireless and they can install a router that you will rent from them (for a monthly fee) and possibly an installation fee
