Odd noise from the computer casing.?
I had this problem where a strange noise from the computer casing is randomly produced. During this time period everything i do would lag. (Even MS Word)
The computer repair guys said that it was improper cooling. So i changed my casing, HDD, VGA, Power Unit and RAM. Now the noise is not that frequent. However when i multitask or play Mass Effect 1 the noise randomly comes up and lags everything. i've been stuck with this problem for two years. Please HAAALLPP!!!
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.40GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.4GH
Memory: 2048MB RAM
VGA: GeForce 9500 GT
Display Memory: 1777 MB
Dedicated Memory: 1009 MB
Power: 430W
Changed processer cooler. No luk. I guess i'll have to buy a new processer.
noise could be a fan increasing in speed
or if its a beep this will support the sound being the fan
your hardware is overheating for brief periods.
people dont relise how the change in temperature between summer and winter effects hardware.
you have a very old processor and stuff might be worth an upgrade old hardware tends to get hotter for less than new hardware if that makes sense. newer hardware would run cooler if it was the same thing basically.
