Why name Spartan is Given By xilinx For FPGA?
Why name Spartan-3,6,3e,3a etc is given for FPGA by xilinx-the largest FPGA supplier.Is their any technology relation of spartan with FPGA or anything else ..

The only reason for this naming convention is because of the catchy name and the logo.
The Spartan series targets applications with a low-power footprint, extreme cost sensitivity and high-volume. Which goes against most stereotypes of the Greek Spartans.
